Dilwara Temples, Mount Abu, Rajasthan
The Dilwara Jain temple in Rajasthan is believed to be the most impressive among other Jain temples in Rajasthan because of its extraordinary architecture as its major attraction.
It is a group of Svetambara Jain Temples which is located about 2.5 km from Mount Abu, Rajasthan’s only hill station.
If you are traveling to Mount Abu, you should definitely visit Dilwara Temple. You would certainly not regret it.
Maru-Gurjara architecture is very famous for its very pure white marble and complex marble carvings, the temple was built in the same style and it was constructed between the 11th to 13th centuries.
There are 5 Dilwara temples which are among the most famous Jain temples they have their own unique identity and are enclosed in a single high-wall compound. The five temples are
- Vimal Vasahi is dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankara, Shri Rishabhadeva

Mirpur Jain Temple Sirohi, Rajasthan
Mirpur Jain temple is located in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan, India. It was built in the 9th century AD, as it is the oldest marble monument in Rajasthan famous for its art, and magnificent carvings.
Mirpur Jain temple has the richest carvings of floral and geometric design domes, pillars, and borders which is why it is also mentioned in the ‘World And Encyclopedia of Art’.
The kalamandap and engraved parikrama on the pillars, and indescribable artistry of this Jain temple are famous throughout the world as it represents every walk of life in Indian Mythology.
The Mulnayak of the temple is a 90 cm tall white-coloured idol of Lord Parshvanatha called Bhidbhanjan Parshwanathji. The temple also served as a model for the later Dilwara and Ranakpur temples.
The ruler of Gujarat Sultan Mahmud Begada destroyed the temple in the 13th century but it was rebuilt in the 15th century.

Ranakpur Jain Temple, Ranakpur, Rajasthan
Ranakpur is one of the largest and most important Jain temples located in the village of Ranakpur near Sadri town in the Pali district of Rajasthan.
The construction of the temple was started by Darna shah a local Jain businessman, in the 15th century with a divine vision after he saw a dream of a celestial vehicle.
The temple was built in the form of Nalini-Gulma Vimana(a heavenly vehicle Dharna Shah saw in his dreams), and the architecture of the temple is in Maru Gurjara style.
The main Chaumukha Adinatha idol is placed in Garbhagriha. The temple has 5 shikaras the center one is the largest in all.
Ranakpur Jain temple is considered one of the sacred Jain temples in India also known as Chaturmukha Dharana Vihara.

Sanghiji Jain Temple, Sanganer, Rajasthan
Shri Digamber Jain Atishya Kshetra Mandir, Sanghiji is a well-known ancient tourist attraction in Jaipur made of red stone.
The idol of the Sanghiji temple Lord Rishabhanatha (Adinatha), the first Tirthankara, is expected to be 4000 years old. The temple was completed around the 10th century CE and has the most beautiful architecture which represents Jain beliefs and values.
According to Jain’s belief, a Tirthankara is an enlightened individual free of his negative karmas and whom others should try to follow.
The temple has 7 underground floors which are kept always closed due to old religious beliefs and no visitors are allowed to see them as it is said only a Balyati ascetic Digambara saint can enter it and be able to bring out idols of the underground temple for a limited period of time.
The Sanghiji Jain temple is considered a great illustrator of Hindu and Jain architecture.

Lodhurva Jain Temple, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan
Lodhurva Jain temple is built with yellow limestone and sandstone famous for its complex craftsmanship also known as the best example of Jain architecture in Rajasthan.
The Mulnayak of the temple is a black marble idol of Parshvanatha.
Bhati Rajputs used to rule this area a long time ago later all their belongings were destroyed by the Islamic invaders so the temple remains the only standing structure in the ruined city of Lodhruva.
Snakes are carved in the shape of a huge hood behind the idol and there is a small hole in the outer wall of the temple as it is believed that this is the place where a snake comes out of the wall to drink milk every day. The sight of this snake is a blessing.
The temple also features stone carvings of Kalpavriksha and Kalputra.
